Commission approves Pleasant Street project with resource protections

Maynard Conservation Commission approves wetland modifications at 11 Pleasant Street and water infrastructure work. The Commission unanimously approved Matthew and Frederica Jancek's proposal to demolish an existing accessory dwelling unit and construct a new one with a workshop building and rain gardens within the Riverfront Area and Buffer Zone, contingent on invasive species monitoring, rain garden maintenance, and native-species-only plantings. The Commission also unanimously issued a Certificate of Compliance for the Department of Public Works water supply infrastructure improvements, including a wellfield installation behind Maynard Crossing, water main drilling, and a turtle fence at Well 4A for seasonal Blanding's turtle movement.
