Maynard Conservation Commission continues sewer pump station hearing. The commission postponed decision on a Notice of Intent filed by Stantec Consulting on behalf of the Department of Public Works for upgrades to the pump station at 74 Powder Mill Road and 18 Pine Hill Road. Funded by a $500,000 MassWorks Infrastructure Grant received in 2025, the project would construct a new pump station and install a force main under the Assabet River to the wastewater treatment plant.
The applicant seeks a waiver to allow work in sensitive wetland buffer zones. The hearing was continued unanimously to June 9, 2026, to address Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection comments.
