Conservation Commission approves sewer pump upgrades

Conservation Commission · Meeting of June 9, 2026

Maynard Conservation Commission approves sewer pump station upgrades. The Commission unanimously approved the Powder Mill Road project in four separate votes, issuing a waiver to allow work within protected wetland buffer zones and finding the project would protect groundwater supply, prevent storm damage, prevent pollution, protect wildlife habitat, and control flooding. Zoe Piel, Conservation Agent and Assistant Town Planner, presented updated plans that moved the work further from the Assabet River and replaced gravel with vegetated areas.

The Commission also issued a negative determination for an 18 Hillside Street driveway project and determined a 2-6 Powder Mill Road building modification would constitute a minor amendment.
