Conservation Commission approves two buffer zone applications

Maynard Conservation Commission OKs two buffer zone applications. The commission issued negative determinations for RDA2604, Aroldo Netto's deck reconstruction at 3 Burns Court, and RDA2605, Joseph Goguen's barn-to-ADU conversion at 62 Glendale Street, both within the 50-foot buffer zone to a Bordering Vegetative Wetland. The Netto deck had been demolished and reconstructed without a building permit before Conservation Agent Zoe Piel filed the application post-construction.
For the Goguen project, the 900-square-foot accessory dwelling unit will be renovated within the barn's existing footprint using existing town water and sewer connections. Both determinations were approved unanimously; RDA2605 carries the condition that equipment and materials storage be minimized in the rear of the barn.
