Eversource project wins Conservation Commission approval

Maynard Conservation Commission clears Eversource electrical conduit project at 28 Nick Lane. The Commission issued a Negative Determination on Eversource Energy's proposed 70-foot conduit installation, finding the work exempt from state Wetlands Protection Act permitting requirements. Chair Susan Erickson requested construction timing coordination to protect vernal pool species documented in the area by Commission member Sarah Measures.
The Commission also directed Conservation Agent Zoe Piel to communicate environmental requirements to Maynard Youth Soccer for its April-June season at Rockland Field, including vehicle-count estimates and parking restrictions within the Wellhead Protection Zone.
