Committee votes to raise food truck permit fee to $1,200 annually

Maynard Economic Development Committee raises food truck annual permit to $1,200. The committee unanimously voted to increase the food truck operating fee from $100 annually to $1,200, determining the original fee did not adequately reflect the costs borne by brick-and-mortar restaurants. In a second unanimous vote, the committee approved a motion to recommend continued code enforcement against a deteriorated ATM enclosure at 86 Powder Mill Rd. under the town's minimum maintenance bylaw.
Executive Director Steve Silverstein will present the revised food truck regulation at the committee's next meeting.
