Stephanie Pitman, owner of Barrels and Vines Wine Bar, reported spending eight weeks obtaining an outdoor seating permit with excessive insurance costs, leaving her unclear on next steps even after Select Board approval. Planning Director Bill Nemser will develop a checklist-based process with improvements due next month.
The committee also discussed parking meter removal at an estimated cost of $100,000, with an alternative proposal to paint the meters instead.
