Parking Authority Rebuilt by Restructured Committee

Maynard Economic Development Committee unanimously approves prior minutes, plans Parking Authority restructuring. The committee reviewed multiple 2026 initiatives including food truck policy and downtown projects. Executive Director Steve Silverstein reported the Parking Authority, dormant recently, is being rebuilt to address increased downtown resident parking needs, with John Cramer volunteering for the expanded committee.
The committee plans substantive food truck policy discussion at its next meeting, currently allowing trucks at festivals and on private property. Planning Director Bill Nemser reported the department issued an RFP for pedestrian/bicycle route design on Powder Mill Corridor and is updating the Housing Production Plan.
