Community Preservation Committee backs four projects totaling nearly $475,000

Maynard Community Preservation Committee unanimously recommends $474,940 in funding for four preservation projects. The committee voted to allocate resources across affordable housing ($400,000), Regional Housing Services Office membership ($16,440), Conservation Trust Fund support ($50,000), and the Maynard Historical Commission's monument and plaque restoration ($8,500). All seven voting members present approved each recommendation and accompanying warrant articles.
Chair Rick Lefferts directed attention to a separate Golf Course survey and recommended that Town Counsel assess whether Conservation Trust funds could cover wetlands flagging, potentially avoiding the need for Town Meeting approval.
