MAYNARD — Community Preservation Committee discusses CPA funding for golf course survey. Rick Lefferts, committee chair, noted that other Massachusetts municipalities have approved Community Preservation Act funding for similar surveys, but the committee identified timing as a concern for warrant article preparation, possibly requiring a Special Town Meeting vote. The committee approved minutes from its January 7 meeting by 7-0-1 vote with Jonathan Bretz abstaining, and Denise Walsh was sworn in as an at-large member.
The committee will also move forward with resubmitting the state Housing Choice Community Designation application, with 33 percent of CPA funds designated for housing projects.
