MAYNARD — ADA Commission receives briefing on state-funded accessibility assessment of town buildings. The Institute For Human Centered Design consultant outlined a multi-phase assessment including site visits spanning three days to a week at a time, with findings delivered in narrative reports, photographic catalogs, and detailed spreadsheets. The commission completed an accessibility survey documenting concerns across numerous municipal buildings, including insufficient lighting at Town Hall, heavy bathroom doors at the library, and inaccessible playground structures.
A public meeting will be held for community comment on the findings.
