Select Board shifts focus to new fiscal 2027 planning priorities

Select Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026

MAYNARD — Select Board outlines framework for fiscal 2027 strategic goals. The board spent its July 13 meeting reviewing the effectiveness of its fiscal 2026 goals and consolidating emerging themes—transportation, economic development, and infrastructure—into a new strategic-goals framework. Chair Mike Stevens emphasized the board's forward-thinking approach rather than rote review of existing priorities.

The refined goals will be presented at a future meeting. The board voted unanimously to enter Executive Session regarding the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property at 61-63 Summer Street, with the motion made by David Gavin and seconded by Jeffrey Swanberg. The board noted that public discussion of the matter could prejudice the town's negotiating position.
