Sustainability Committee endorses Barrett for membership, advances Climate Action Plan drafting.

Sustainability Committee · Meeting of March 2, 2026

Maynard Sustainability Committee endorses Abbie Barrett for membership and pushes Climate Action Plan forward. The committee unanimously voted to admit Barrett, secretary of Green Maynard, as a full member on March 2. Co-Chair Lisa Vernegaard reported that Chester Osborn, a former task force member, will serve as an ad hoc advisor on CAP review.

Members assigned sections to drafting teams: Kate Wheeler and Sally Warner will tackle water and wastewater with Julia Flanary, while Zana Cranmer led discussion of networked geothermal systems and energy efficiency incentives. The committee plans to hire a consultant for Climate Action Plan formatting, graphics, and a style guide to standardize presentation across all sections.
