Sustainability Committee approves prior minutes, charts Climate Action Plan process.

Sustainability Committee · Meeting of April 6, 2026

MAYNARD — Sustainability Committee advances Energy Omnibus memo and Climate Action Plan process. The committee voted unanimously to approve prior minutes and agreed that Co-Chair Lisa Vernegaard will draft a memo to the Select Board analyzing the Massachusetts House energy bill proposing a $1 billion cut to MassSave's $4.5 billion 2025-2027 budget. The committee established a five-step public engagement process for the Climate Action Plan: finish drafting, seek Select Board input, conduct listening sessions in late September, incorporate feedback, and present final version to the Select Board for approval.

Priscilla Ryder and Abbie Barrett will develop the public outreach strategy by May.
