Maynard Sustainability Committee backs Energy Manager expansion and advances Climate Action Plan. The committee voted unanimously to have Co-Chair Lisa Vernegaard draft a letter supporting Energy Manager Rebecca Ansolabehere's proposal to expand from 20 to 24 hours weekly using Power Choice aggregation surcharge funds; Ansolabehere would focus the additional four hours on community energy engagement and program support. Members established a 10-year Climate Action Plan timeframe and agreed to submit a draft executive summary to the Select Board for feedback before public rollout, with assignments distributed to review built environment, nature-based solutions, solid waste and recycling, water and wastewater, and transportation sections.
