MAYNARD — The Select Board approved water source permitting and energy efficiency contracts totaling at least $889,132 in capital spending. Verdantas LLC received a $783,000 contract for five-year permitting of five new drinking water wells at Rockland Avenue and Old Marlborough Road treatment plants, funded by a $3 million municipal bond, to expand water supply capacity and the town's withdrawal cap. Inovis Energy received $106,132 for wastewater treatment plant efficiency improvements through a state energy grant and municipal funding, reducing daily water consumption by 20,000 gallons.

The board also approved a rooftop solar installation lease at Green Meadow Elementary School, ratified Assistant Town Administrator Stephanie Duggan's employment through June 30, 2029, accepted 17 trees for Coolidge Park, and forwarded PFAS and bond rescission articles to Finance Committee for the October 13 Special Town Meeting.
