Select Board · Meeting of March 3, 2026
Maynard Select Board approves wastewater capacity study and schedules utility rate hearing. The board heard findings from Stantec Consulting Services on the Maynard Wastewater Treatment Plant, originally built in 1928, which recommended $60 million in phased capital improvements over the next 15 years to meet future demand and regulatory requirements; Director of Public Works Justin DeMarco will present three rate options to the board March 17, with Option B (7 percent water and sewer revenue increase) identified as most balanced. The board also voted unanimously to approve a Section 15 Package Store All Alcoholic Beverages license for Maynard Corner Store LLC at 49 Walnut Street and to refer draft zoning by-law amendments allowing medical marijuana businesses in the Central Business District to the Planning Board.
