Retirement Board approves January payroll, new members, and conference attendance.

MAYNARD — The Maynard Retirement Board unanimously approved three January 31 warrants totaling $853,188.28, including payroll of $479,640.86, deductions of $86,677.88, and cash disbursements of $286,870.44. Chair Patrick Hakey's board also voted unanimously to accept four new members: Police Officers Matheus Alves and Maxim Howard, School Custodian Chase Cummings, and Dispatcher Heidi Valarelli. The board authorized Executive Director Ken DeMars and Assistant Executive Director Diane Montanez to attend the 2026 Directors/Administrators Conference April 26-28 on Martha's Vineyard with system reimbursement for hotel, mileage, and fees.

The March 26 board meeting was set to include the FY2027 Cost of Living Adjustment hearing.
