Planning Board approves cell tower renewal; recommends Parker Street rezoning

Planning Board · Meeting of April 14, 2026

MAYNARD — Planning Board unanimously renews cell tower permit and recommends rezoning. Chair Christopher Arsenault's board voted 5-0 to renew the two-year telecommunications special permit for the existing cell tower at 129 Acton Street, requiring updated structural analysis certification by March 15, 2027. The board also voted 4-0, with Member Bill Cranshaw abstaining, to recommend to Town Meeting a zoning change converting two parcels at 141 Parker Street from Industrial to Business district, aligning with the Master Plan's phase-out of industrial zoning; the change reduces front setbacks from 50 feet to 30 feet and permits renovation of a nonconforming single-family home on the site.
