Maynard ZBA to hear 17 Crane Avenue special permit Nov. 23

The Maynard Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a remote public hearing on Monday, Nov. 23, at 7 p.m. on a special permit application for 17 Crane Avenue, the town announced Nov. 4.

The application was filed by owners Kelli Kirshtein and Wendy Angus. The property is a single-family dwelling in the General Residence district. It is a pre-existing nonconforming dwelling because its left side setback is 12 feet, where 15 feet is required.

Under Sections 4.1 and 5.1.3 of the Maynard Protective Zoning By-law, the applicants are asking for a special permit to build an addition that would extend the nonconformity on the left side setback. The proposal shows zero feet on that side, against the 15 feet required.

The hearing will be held on Zoom, under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A, Section 5, to hear all interested people.
