Library Board approves FY27 budget without modification from Select Board

MAYNARD — Library Board advances FY27 budget without modification to Select Board recommendation. Director Jean Maguire reported Children's Librarian Mark Malcolm has returned to regular duties, and the Board reviewed developments in accessibility initiatives including a loop system for hearing-impaired patrons. The stairwell and window project contract was awarded to GVW, Inc., pending Select Board approval February 3.
The Maynard Book Festival, scheduled for April 7-11, is nearing finalized scheduling with grant funding secured for an author to speak at Fowler Middle School.
