Finance Committee recommends FY27 budget and warrant articles

MAYNARD — Finance Committee advances 13 warrant items for May town meeting. The Maynard Finance Committee, Vice Chair Katie Moore presiding, voted to recommend 13 warrant articles to the May 18 annual town meeting, including the FY 2027 Town General Fund budget and sewer enterprise budgets, with five members present. Thirteen articles received formal recommendations, with eleven passing unanimously and two—articles on outdoor lighting regulation and state flag change—passing 4 to 1 against the dissent of member Peter Campbell.
Eight additional articles were deferred pending Select Board decisions on April 21 and other information gathering. The committee scheduled its next meeting for April 27, with a public hearing on May 11.
