Maynard Finance Committee advances warrant articles ahead of May town meeting. The committee voted to recommend eight of 32 articles for the May 18 Annual Town Meeting warrant on April 27, including appropriations, transfers, and a bylaw amendment, while declining to recommend one citizen petition concerning tax title payment agreements. Vice Chair Katie Moore presided.
Chair Jillian Prendergast abstained on all substantive warrant votes. The committee voted four to zero against recommending Article 31 after the panel reviewed concerns from town counsel and the town treasurer; committee member Nikhil Rao also recused himself from that vote. A public hearing is set for May 11.
