MAYNARD — Finance Committee to weigh $25 million water infrastructure override. Chair Jillian Prendergast led a January 26 discussion of the Town Administrator's FY27 budget proposal, which includes a $25 million water override. The committee sought clarification on how the proposal aligns with other capital priorities, including the school roof and DPW garage projects, and its integration with the water master plan.

Other FY27 budget changes include a reduction in the Assabet Technical Vocational School assessment and the full implementation of solid waste and recycling into an enterprise fund, with the committee planning to invite Justin DeMarco and Greg Johnson to further address the water override at a future meeting.
