MAYNARD — The Community Preservation Committee voted unanimously to recommend $12,000 for Assabet River Rail Trail benches at the Special Town Meeting. Chair Matt Preys led the August 19 meeting with six members present. The project called for benches without arms to accommodate wheelchair users, with installation by a contracted mason.
The committee also voted unanimously to fund the project from the Budgeted Reserve Fund.
