MAYNARD — Capital Planning Committee works through capital funding challenges. Three of five members attended the June 2 work session: Chair Douglas Adler, Vice-Chair Jonathan Bretz, and Benjamin Zauski. The committee identified potential funding solutions including a newly established Trash Enterprise Fund that could free $1.2 million for capital projects and the Governor's proposed Excise Tax bill for roads and sidewalks.
Crosswalk lighting requirements under a recent Lighting Bylaw would cost $100,000 per intersection.
